Domiciliary Care
by
Our Domiciliary Scheme Mission Statement is ‘to enable people with learning disabilities, mental health needs and/or physical disabilities to live independently in their own home, to develop a fulfilling life and to become respected members of the community in which they choose to live’. The Domiciliary Care Service started in April 2013, is based in tenant’s own home. When the people we support are ready to move into their own home, staff will work with the individual, their families and Social Care Manager’s to assess what level of support they need to live as independently as possible. Acorn Community Care Domiciliary Services gained registration with the Care Quality Commission on 27th March 2013 and opened supporting its first tenant in their own home, on 5th April 2013. Our certificate number is CRT1-674867490. The Office for this service is also based at Whinflower Hall. In 2014, we were asked to provide the support for two other people who are already in independent living.
