Alpacacs

                                                                         Alpacas

These are our two Alpacas, Percy and Titus who join our sheep. Titus is a Solid white alpaca male born 3/9/13 and Percy is a Solid dark brown male alpaca born 5/8/13.They are a domesticated species of South American camelid and resemble a small llama in appearance. Both are pure Huacaya Alpacas born at Moorside Alpaca Farm in Kirkbymoorside. They have just had their summer haircut and the wool will be used for spinning. They are registered with the British Alpaca Society (BAS)
We now have 7 Alpacas donated by Jenny Brown of Aike along with their shelter. Humphrey,Freddy, Phoenix, Desperate Dan, Picasso and Trevor. They have settled very well and are enjoying life on the farm. Sadly, we have lost Titus to cancer, Percy has had to adapt to life with 6 bigger brothers.
